Latina X Black

I am as much Latina as I am Black, but Black has always been easier to identify with. I figured that part was at least obvious. I never felt that I had to prove anything by claiming my Blackness. No requirement to announce that or clarify because a glance was all that was necessary.

Shine

I’ve determined that I can no longer fear my potential while dreaming about what could be. Instead of shrinking, I’m allowing myself the space to shine.

George Floyd is just one of hundreds. In light of how he was suffocated, we use our breath to shed light on the continual disregard for black lives.

Seeds

One of the cool things about seeds is that they don’t expire. We’re kind of like that too. We have seeds of potential that don’t have an expiration date.
