I believe a day exists where we won’t be repeatedly saying we deserve better because we’ll actually be receiving better. In the meantime, I’m doing my best to balance staying informed and protecting my peace.

What did you do during the COVID Quarantine? I guarantee that question will be a conversation starter in the next couple years. But while we’re still living it, I’m navigating this time of being “essential” and splitting my days between an empty office and an empty home.

More Than Hair

New York issued new guidelines last month that classify targeting a person based on their hair or hairstyle as racial discrimination. Something tells me it might take more than a New York minute for other states to catch up, but I applaud NY for leading the pack on this one.
